Some near-history last night, as top Phillies prospect Gavin Floyd held the Fisher Cats hitless through 8 innings. But after 102 pitches, Floyd’s night was done, and New Hampshire scored the winning runs off a reliever. Good for the Phillies to put development ahead of no-hitters. Francisco Rosario stretched his AA scoreless innings streak to 10. Ryan Houston had a fabulous relief outing.

This slugfest did not work out as well as the one in Syracuse. Jamie Vermilyea was hammered in a starting role, and only Andy Torres pitched well in relief. Top hitting prospects Jayce Tingler and Vito Chiaravalotti were about the only D-Jay batters to have off-nights.
