Sorry kids, no Pixies or Haircut 100 references today. I do have some Jays articles, tho.
- Richard Griffin's "Blue Jays, Delgado down to final year" is a followup to another shorter article in the Star, stating that there will be "No contract talk for Delgado" until the end of the 2004 season.
- The Star's Garth Woolsey talks about the Dodgers giving "One more last chance for Jose Canseco".
- Spencer Fordin gets his take on the Delgado contract in "Delgado's focus remains on field".
- In his notes section, Fordin has interesting shorter pieces on Jayson Werth, Greg Myers, and Alexis Rios.
- Larry Millson of the Globe argues that "Delgado still key to success". It's Carlos Day in the Canadian Media!
- The Globe has a couple of interesting non-Jays articles as well: Steven Brunt's "Young Cuban star's absence is noticed" on 21 year old Cuban Kendry Morales, and Jeff Blair's "Montreal enters new season a changed team".
- Besides the generic article on Carlos Delgado's contract situation, the Sun's Mike Ganter has a piece "Turn Two for Woody: Jays shortstop gets another shot". Here's hoping that Woodward has an excellent season!
- Fan Club favorite Frankie Catalanotto isn't forgotten in Ganter's other article "Cat comes back in far better shape".
- My former neighbour Morris Dalla Costa details the injury problems of Jays 2001 8th round draft pick and London, Ontario native Sean Grimes. I've called a few of Sean's games behind the dish, so it'd be kind of cool for me if he made it, even if I was stingy with the high strikes!
- My last foray into political discussion got me into trouble, so I'm a little reluctant to post that the "Leafs, Raptors, Jays gained from sponsorship".
