Anyone not voting "NYY (Rodriguez" please explain yourself. Seriously! YOu have 500 words, English and Spanish. Go.

Given the cognitive disonance on display in the anyone-but-Jeter voting, this doesn't figure to be unanimous either.

Gotta be ARod. Even I, Mr. Go Jay Polyanna had to vote for the scumbag.

In my mind his stats seemed too high at: 314/422/645 54 HR, 143R, 156RBI, 24/4 Steals. SO, I checked out what he did against the Jays and he was 200/294/267 in 15 at bats pre all star break and 320/433/440 in 50 after all star break bats. Against us he got 14 R, 11RBI, with only 1 HR. AND, most of his damage against us was in NY. In Toronto the Jays handled him quite well.

Longoria's going to be interesting to watch. A great prospect. Glaus with two feet (hopefully - though deep inside I doubt it) should also be interesting to watch. If healthy I predict 44 homers. If not - 26 homers.

You can vote for Bartlett over Jeter in good conscience, but there's no comparison between A-Rod and the rest of the field.

1. ARod
2.Glaus
3.Longoria possibly 2 might be better
4.Mora
5.Lowell

Mike Lowell is a terrible player who has been buoyed by pulling everything into the Monster, and looked good last year based on a spike in BABIP. He hit 276/339/428 away from Fenway last year, and enjoyed a .382(!) BABIP at home. Lowell apparently had interest from non-Boston teams this offseason, and it tears at me that he couldn't sign anywhere other than Boston.

Easy there skip. I can agree that Lowell is an overrated player, but he had a phenominal season and is most definately better than Mora (and most likely going to be better than Longoria).

I have voted for the Yankees every single time thus far. I don't anticipate voting for any other Yanks. Weird.
