I voted "Meh", but see a downhill slide more from his 2003-2004 levels. 2005 he was so awful, going downhill from there it's unlikely he could make the team. But a 265/325/450 line, borderline useful, not a star, wouldn't shock me.
I voted "other". With a year out of baseball, he was likely able to follow a rigorous program of PEDs - like we've never seen before. He was probably employed as a guinea pig by the world's PED leaders. He will have almost "bionic" eyesight and romp to All-star and HOF numbers. However, these numbers will be taken with a grain of salt by the increasingly skeptical baseball fan and writer and no awards will await him at the end of his comeback.
Though PECOTA probably has little to go on for players Sosa's age who miss a year, what PECOTA has conjured up ain't pretty.
I could see Sammy as a not useless 4th OF/ph who gets to hang around until he hits HR 600.
He'll tear up the league until the first urine test, then he'll claim another player gave him supplements that he didn't know had steroids in them. Then he'll quietly melt away in shame ala Palmero.
