Pitching has been prominent over the first few weeks of the season. But not so on Thursday. Jackson Wentworth was the only starting pitcher who completed four innings. The three teams who did not get four innings from their starter lost. Vancouver, behind Wentworth, won by scoring 13 runs.

1. The Dunedin Blue Jays
Buffalo was bombed, New Hampshire and Vancouver let one get away in the later innings and Dunedin also finished second on the scoreboard.
Could the Braves actually be... bad?
I believe its the first time this year that we have 100% wins, even if its just three games. New Hampshire were rained out.
In a season where runs are in short supply for the affiliates, Vancouver scored nine on Saturday. They had the only win. Buffalo lost two, Dunedin one while New Hampshire were snowed out. A couple of players are pushing for a promotion.
After pitching was the story of the first part of the season, that all stopped on Friday. Only one starter went five innings as it was tough for starters out there. The top two teams won, the lower two lost.

The road trip concludes at Camden Yards. I expect the Jays will be happy to take two of the three games. This would salvage a split on the road trip, and let everybody come home in a Good Mood.
Three losses and a rainout on Thursday. Despite the losses there were two very good starting performances by Khal Stephen and Grant Rogers but both ended in walk off losses. So given that there was little to highlight on the field I thought I would take a look at the season so far.
Buffalo 1 Durham 7
Buffalo 2 Durham 1
New Hampshire 4 Portland 1
Dunedin 7 Jupiter 4
Vancouver 8 Spokane 4
Hand me down my walkin' shoes.
The road trip, off to a shaky start, continues with four games in Olde Fenway Park.

It seems as though the pitchers are ahead this early in the season. The Blue Jay pitchers, below AAA, have been excellent. The three starters on Sunday did not allow a run. Rafael Sanchez, Juaron Watts-Brown and Austin Cates were each excellent. Only two of the teams, New Hampshire and Vancouver, won. Dunedin lost. Buffalo were rained out again.
